Chef of the Week, 25th May 2018 – Chef Gitali Sengupta

Hello, Foodies and Buddies!

It’s time for another Chef of the Week feature and this time, we have Chef Gitali Sengupta from Brigade Metropolis taking her richly deserved place in this list of illustrious Buddies!


Chef Gitali is a relatively new chef on FoodyBuddy but she has quickly established herself as one of the top sellers on our platform. She has sold nearly 1000 meals in her short time as a Buddy – and according to her, it’s all down to passion.

She says, “Cooking is my passion. I experiment with new dishes through online recipe channels. When people appreciate my cooking, it motivates me more to cook and share with others.” It was also her friends in Brigade Metropolis who got her started on her FoodyBuddy journey.

A highly-skilled cook, Chef Gitali specialises in Non-Vegetarian Dishes and Desserts but that’s not all she can do. After all, her top-selling dish on FoodyBuddy is her lip-smacking Dahi Vada.


Her Foodies definitely approve of her cooking as she has received countless personal messages of appreciation for her superb food. This appreciation also inspires Chef Gitali to look to the future.

“This is a whole new experience for me. I would like to see it scale up, and if FoodyBuddy provides means to expand the customer reach I would definitely like to explore that,” she says.

And finally, for other new Buddies such as herself, Chef Gitali has some expert advice on how to succeed on the FoodyBuddy platform: “Create a variety of menus and come up with new dishes and combinations every now and then.”
