With the monsoon season underway, everybody in India is mostly staying in their houses and what is better than a great evening snack to help spend the time? So, without any further ado, here is our list of 5 Healthy Indian Snacks (With Recipes!):
#1) Healthy Vada Pav
While Vada Pav might have originated in Mumbai, it has become a favourite of Indians all across our country. But, the fact of the matter is, they just aren’t good for our health…unless you try this amazing recipe courtesy of Tarla Dalal.
Chef Dalal has come up with an awesome healthy version of the Vada Pav that you can enjoy, guilt-free.
#2) Fresh Corn Bhel
How do you take the awesome street taste of Bhel Puri and make it healthy? Why, you just follow this nifty lil recipe for a Fresh Corn Bhel from NDTV Food. It gives you that tangy chaat taste with none of the ill-effects.
#3) Moong Dal Dahi Vada
Dahi Vada has been a long-standing favourite in the southern parts of India for decades now and even other parts of the country have started recognising the sumptuous dish as a perfect snack. Unfortunately, Dahi Vada isn’t exactly the healthiest thing in the world.
That’s where Tarla Dalal has come in with a healthy variant made using Moong Dal which ticks all the boxes. You can find the recipe here!
#4) Corn Methi Kabab
This is one is for all the vegetarians reading here. While Chicken Kababs and Lamb Kababs are perfect for non-vegetarians, we have come up with this healthy kabab recipe for those who don’t eat meat, courtesy of Tarla Dalal.
It is a healthy Corn Methi Kabab which is delicious and clocks in at less than 100 calories for a plate of 2 Kababs! What more could you ask for? Check out the recipe here!

We are closing things out with a healthy version of a popular North Indian street snack – the Tawa Chana. It is lip-smackingly delicious, but you have to be careful or it could have some drastic effect on your healthy, right? Well, not anymore.
