We have a real treat for you guys on this edition of Dish of the Week – Lity Ki Lassi by Chef Suchi from HiLife Pearl Shell. If you’re wondering about the unique name of the dish, Chef Suchi has an explanation for you.
She said, “This is a special form of Lassi made out of curd, sugar & homemade condensed milk. The name also comes from my own nickname – Lity!”
Chef Suchi gave us some more background into her patented beverage. “This dish is one of my favourites and was very popular with my neighbours even before FoodyBuddy launched in our apartment. Lity is my nickname and because of the dish’s popularity, one of my neighbours suggested the name Lity Ki Lassi,” she explained.
Being such a popular and personalised dish, we were curious about what makes Lity Ki Lassi so special and Chef Suchi obliged our curiosity by giving us a full recipe.
Ingredients for one serving:
Curd – 1 cup
Sugar – 4 spoons
Homemade Condensed Milk (Rabdi) – 4-5 spoons
Rooh Afza Syrup
Cashew – 1 piece
Condensed Milk is prepared using Milk. Keep boiling 1 ltr of Milk with Sugar on lowest flame, till it becomes 200 ml.
Mix Curd with Sugar.
Take a glass and put two spoons of Condensed Milk.
Add the Mixed Curd.
Add the leftover two spoons of Condensed Milk.
Put two spoonfuls of Rooh Afza Syrup.
Top with one piece of Cashew.
