Hello, Foodies and Buddies!
It’s Chef of the Week time and on this edition, we have Chef Gazal who is a veteran FoodyBuddy seller! She recently crossed the 1000 Meals Sold Milestone and we got in touch with her for a great interview!
So, how exactly did Chef Gazal get started with FoodyBuddy?
“I got to know about FoodyBuddy through a friend. Met [FoodyBuddy CEO] Akil to know more about it and got going,” she answered.
And, what keeps her motivated to keep selling after all these months? She replied, “It started off as primarily an experiment to share ‘delicious, value for money’ food experience. The very reason I started with FoodyBuddy still keeps me inspired and going. However, I must admit that over time, the extra income has been a welcome incentive,” replied Chef Gazal.
Being such a long-time seller on the platform, we asked Chef Gazal what were some of her most popular dishes and specialities.
She said, “Biryanis, mainly. Additionally, other non-vegetarian dishes that I have loved growing up and still do but not which are usually available at restaurants. My most-ordered dishes are the Shahi Veg and Bombay Chicken Biryanis.”
Her Foodies definitely love her dishes and Chef Gazal gave us some insight into her relationship with her buyers. “I have met and developed a few wonderful relationships through FoodyBuddy. I have been blessed to have people being very positive and receptive to my dishes,” she said with a smile.
And being a FoodyBuddy veteran, does Chef Gazal have any tips for new Buddies? She replied, “One needs to be in this for passion. Don’t let positive feedback get to your head and/or criticism bog you down.”
In closing, we asked Chef Gazal what the future held for her and she replied excitedly, “The future looks good. FoodyBuddy has given me a platform and confidence to expand my footprint in the food business.”
Thank you so much for being such an integral part of the FoodyBuddy family, Chef Gazal, and all the best to you going forward 🙂
