Hello Foodies and Buddies,
It’s time for another edition of Chef of the Week and this time around, we are featuring Chef Keerthana Kollareddy from Mantri Celestia! She has recently reached the 1000 Meals Sold Milestone and is one of the quickest chefs to get to this landmark!
We asked Chef Keerthana how exactly she got started with FoodyBuddy and she replied, “Many of my friends kept telling me that my food is so tasty and I should start something in this regard so that many others could also taste it. I had no idea how to start with as I can only do it from home. I was also bothered about the advertisement of my dishes.”
“It was then that I came to know about FoodyBuddy and was thrilled. I still remember the first day I started with Mirchi Bajji and Prawns Fry and the response was amazing and then there is no looking back. My heartful thanks to FoodyBuddy for making my dream come true,” she concluded with a smile.
Chef Keerthana also told us her inspiration to keep selling on the platform.
“A very big thanks to Celestians, as their feedback and compliments are my true inspiration. They call me and make my day with wonderful motivation and especially when I customise the food for kids and in turn get their mothers’ blessings. Also, my husband, parents, and sisters are a huge support system and strength without which it is impossible for me to come this far. They also keep giving me suggestions and feedback,” she said.
Having sold a 1000 dishes, Chef Keerthana certainly has some specialities.
She said, “My speciality is knowing how to make even a simple dish in a more healthy way and to give a variation and providing good food that people enjoy eating. I also try including a lot of vegetables in most of my dishes. My favourites are crispy Vadas – especially Button Vadas with Sambar – Paneer Paratha, and Chicken Fry.”
Chef Keerthana also has a bunch of popular dishes. She said, “Well, most of the people like Chennai Idly & Vada, Button Vada, Button Idly, Sabudana Vada & Sabudana Khichdi, Paneer Dosa, Paneer Paratha, Fried Chicken Leg, Chicken Fry, and Prawns Fry.”
The Foodies fortunate enough to enjoy Chef Keerthana’s amazing cooking are definitely huge fans and they have had some great interactions with her.
“I am really happy to say that most of my Foodies have become my friends now and most of them message me regularly about how much they enjoy eating my food. They really make my day and they also make sure to make their guests taste my food and it’s really a great feeling,” she explained.
Having made such great progress in such a short time, we asked Chef Keerthana if she had any advice for new Buddies.
She responded, “A few people who wanted to get on this platform have asked me how is my experience and I have always told them to start without giving it a much thought as every day is a new day and a new experience and people should always go for it if you are really passionate about what you do.”
Chef Keerthana also had some sage words regarding her future plans. She said, ” I am not a person who plans for the future. Today is very important to me and I am in a very happy place and FoodyBuddy is also a part of my happiness. Also, I try adding a new dish every now and then for my Foodies.”
Finally, Chef Keerthan had some closing words. “I would like to thank the Foodbuddy Team for coming up with this brilliant idea and giving me and many others the opportunity to showcase our cooking skills and today because of you people, many blessings and love are showered upon us.
