Dish of the Week, 15th October 2019 – Fudgy Chocolate Brownie by Megha

Hello, Foodies and Buddies!

You are in for a treat for this edition of Dish of the Week! We have Chef Megha Bhasin’s decadent dessert – Fudgy Chocolate Brownie, topped with Chocolate Ganache! Sounds utterly delicious, doesn’t it?

We asked Chef Megha to describe her dish and she said, “A chocolate brownie (or simply brownie) is a square, baked, chocolate dessert. Brownies come in a variety of forms and may be either fudgy or cakey, depending on their density.”

“A fudgy brownie is dense, with a moist, intensely chocolatey interior. I think of it as somewhere between a rich truffle and a piece of fudge.”

“Nine out of ten people like chocolate. The tenth person always lies.” Chef Megha quoted this line to us from John Q. Tullius when asked if this dish was special to her. She continued, “I am a self-confessed chocoholic and had created this chocolate brownie to satisfy my chocolate cravings as well as that of my family. I started posting it on FoodyBuddy and the response was overwhelming.”

And when asked if this dish was special to her, Chef Megha replied, “Yes, it is a labour of love. A recipe I corrected and refined over many trials and am proud of the final one.” It is clear that the entire world loves your recipe as well, ma’am 🙂

So, how does one go about making the perfect Fudgy Brownie? “It uses dark chocolate (a lot of it), eggs, butter, sugar and flour mostly. And yes, using very good chocolate is the key,” answered Chef Megha.

She also warned of the challenges associated with making the dish. “Yes, from getting the ingredients mixed in the right way in the right proportion to the exact time it will take in the oven- all these things matter in the final outcome of creating the perfect fudgy brownie.”

And finally, we asked Chef Megha what other dishes she was looking to make famous on FoodyBuddy and she said, “Mac n Cheese does well every time I make it, so maybe that and also will be experimenting with new cuisines like Mexican as well. I also have some Keto recipes in the pipeline which are getting good interest. It’s always exciting to have a willing audience.”

Thank you so much for your amazing cooking and being such an awesome and integral part of FoodyBuddy, Chef Megha 🙂
